The AkwaCross Interfaith Network (ACIN) Ghana on Saturday, January 24, 2026, held a One-Day Interfaith Solemn Assembly Prayer Summit, bringing together Akwa Ibom and Cross River State indigenes resident in Ghana for prayers, reflection, and community renewal.
The virtual summit, which commenced at 9:00am GMT, was organized to spiritually commit families, businesses, leadership, and the wider Nigerian diaspora community in Ghana to God at the start of the 2026 calendar year.
With the theme “Turning the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers,” the assembly focused on reconciliation, moral restoration, family unity, and faith-driven leadership within the diaspora community.
The programme featured music ministration, governmental prayers, and word presentations, drawing participation from ministers, professionals, and community members across different backgrounds.
Speakers at the Solemn Assembly included:
- Archbishop David Okponesip, Akwa Ibom Gospel Ministry Network in Diaspora (AKGOMIND)
- Apostle Dr. Duke Obong One, International President, Akwa Ibom Believers United Front Worldwide
- Prophetess Faith Pyne, Accra, Ghana
- Apostle D. Life Paulinus, World Zion Mission International, Ghana
Organisers described the gathering as a spiritual call for alignment, healing, and collective responsibility, stressing the need for unity among Akwa Ibom and Cross River people living abroad.
A major highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the AkwaCross Community Ghana website, a digital platform created to strengthen communication, coordination, and engagement among members of the AkwaCross diaspora in Ghana.
According to community leaders, the website will serve as a central hub for announcements, events, welfare coordination, and community development initiatives, marking a significant step toward institutional structure and long-term sustainability.
The AkwaCross Interfaith Network reaffirmed its commitment to continued interfaith collaboration, moral leadership, and community advancement, noting that faith, unity, and organized engagement remain critical pillars for diaspora growth.
