The Police Service Commission (PSC) has joined Nigerians in celebrating Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman as she marks her 50th birthday, commending her outstanding contributions to governance, public sector reform, and institutional strengthening within Nigeria’s security architecture.
The commendation was delivered by the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), during the Hadiza Bala Usman @50 Governance Colloquium held on January 13, 2026, at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The event attracted senior government officials, policy experts, and public servants, and was designed not only to honour Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman but also to stimulate conversations around leadership, accountability, and results-driven governance in the public sector.
In his remarks, DIG Argungu described Hajiya Hadiza as a trailblazer whose career exemplifies discipline, courage, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in public service.
He highlighted her tenure as Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, noting that her leadership helped improve operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability in one of Nigeria’s most strategic economic institutions.
