The Youth Alliance for Tinubu (YAT) has described the inauguration of the Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilisation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a deliberate move to strengthen internal unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a press statement dated December 25, 2025, and signed by its former National Coordinator, Bello Bala Shagari, the group said the decision reflects an institutional response to the need for deeper cohesion and coordination within the ruling party, particularly as it manages internal realignments common to large political platforms.
According to the statement, the appointment of Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, as chairman of the committee aligns with the party’s emphasis on structured engagement and conflict resolution. YAT noted that Buni’s experience in managing party affairs during sensitive political periods, including preparations ahead of the 2023 general elections, positions him well for the assignment.
The group stated that the composition and mandate of the committee demonstrate the seriousness with which the APC leadership is approaching internal reconciliation and mobilisation. It added that expectations are growing, especially among younger stakeholders, for clearer frameworks and practical strategies that promote participation, coordination, and unity across party structures.
YAT emphasized that strengthening internal processes remains essential as the party consolidates its base and prepares for future political engagements. The statement concluded by reaffirming confidence that the committee’s work would contribute to stability and progress within the APC.
