The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has secured 4th place among over 200 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the 2024/2025 Federal Government Website Performance Scorecard, highlighting the Commission’s sustained commitment to digital governance and transparency.

The ranking was announced during a public presentation of the scorecard organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) in collaboration with the Inter-Ministerial Task Team (IMTT). The assessment evaluated MDA websites based on functionality, compliance with standards, accessibility, and overall efficiency.

Speaking at the event, the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, represented by the Commission’s Spokesperson, Mr. John Okor Odey, attributed the strong performance to the Commission’s consistent investment in information technology. He noted that the ICPC has previously ranked first on two occasions in earlier editions of the scorecard, reflecting a long-standing culture of digital excellence.

Dr. Aliyu emphasised that technology-savvy leadership has been central to the Commission’s digital transformation, adding that information technology remains a critical tool for enhancing transparency, accountability, and effective public service delivery. He also commended the BPSR and other technology-focused institutions for leading Nigeria’s transition from paper-based systems to digital governance and for strengthening national cyberspace safety.

In his opening remarks, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr. Dasuki Arabi, explained that the primary objective of the scorecard is to improve transparency, accountability, and good governance by ensuring unrestricted public access to information through functional MDA websites.

Dr. Arabi described the initiative as a demonstration of the Federal Government’s commitment to openness, transparency, and improved citizen engagement. He stressed that in today’s digital environment, functional websites and effective use of technology are essential for information dissemination, public service delivery, and citizen access to data.

He further disclosed that the BPSR developed a standardised website scorecard aligned with global best practices and serving as a key performance indicator under the National e-Government Master Plan. According to him, fully standardised MDA websites help reduce unnecessary human interface, eliminate corruption in public financial transactions, improve access to information, and curb online scams.

Dr. Arabi concluded that the 2024/2025 results show notable improvements in website functionality and compliance across MDAs, reflecting steady progress in Nigeria’s public sector digital reforms.
