FUOYE Matriculates 11,327 Students at 15th Ceremony, Marks Continued Growth
The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has officially matriculated 11,327 new students across its Oye and Ikole campuses, marking another milestone in the institution’s steady expansion within Nigeria’s higher education sector.
The 15th matriculation ceremony, held on December 11 and 12, 2025, attracted a large gathering of academic and administrative leaders, parents, guardians, and well-wishers. The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Abayomi Sunday Fasina, alongside senior management staff, faculty members, and members of the university community.
Delivering his matriculation lecture titled “Building a House on the Solid Rock,” Professor Fasina urged the newly admitted students to anchor their academic and personal journeys on strong values. He emphasized honesty, integrity, curiosity, love for learning, and resilience as essential pillars for navigating university life and achieving long-term success.
The Vice-Chancellor reminded the students that FUOYE represents more than a venue for lectures and examinations. He encouraged them to actively engage in campus life, embrace intellectual exploration, and contribute meaningfully to community service as responsible members of society.
The ceremonies climaxed with the administration of the matriculation oath, formally inducting the students into the FUOYE academic community. The atmosphere across both campuses was marked by excitement and optimism, as the university welcomed a new cohort poised to contribute to its academic culture and future legacy.
