🔴 Breaking News:
The suit that the family of late High Chief Gabriel Akindeko brought against an Israeli company, Reynolds Construction Company Ltd (RCC), came up on Wednesday 26th November 2025 – before Justice Hauwa Joseph Yilwa at Court 12 of the Abuja Federal High Court.

The matter was again adjourned as the court failed to sit and there was no reason given.
The adjournment did not go down well with the people at the gallery as they murmured in frustration.
The frustration arose as the people claimed they had travelled long distances at great expense especially during this Christmas season of high airfares.
Sadly, this time there was no explanation why the court was not sitting.
A member of the Akin Deko family on condition of anonymity lamented “This is not the first or second time that there is no progress with our case”,
She informed this reporter to the hearing of others, that by her actions the judge was simply giving the impression that the court does not care about justice for the common man. “After all, justice delayed is justice denied”
The Akindeko Family case against RCC, which was filed as far back as 2022 appears to have seen little progress, but continues to attract wide public interest because of the involvement of the late High Chief Lisa of Idanre. It was he, together with Chief Awolowo, who are believed to have brought the Israeli company, Solel Boneh to Nigeria. First in partnership with the government of the defunct Western Region of Nigeria and later as a private company with late high chief as the largest Nigerian shareholder and chairman.
The allegation before the court is that, after the death of High Chief Akindeko, Solel Boneh is believed to have been wound up in Nigeria without regard for the interests of the Akindeko family and other minority shareholders. The company’s large head office yard and equipment were apparently transferred to its sister company, RCC.
Both Solel Boneh Nigeria and RCC are alleged to have been majority-owned and managed by the same overseas company, Solel Boneh International.
Therefore, while the question before the court is about what happened to the shares of late High Chief Akin-Deko in Solel Boneh Nigeria, what Nigerians want to know is how can the historical Nigerian-Israeli heritage that the company represented be so badly treated.
