The HID Awolọwọ Foundation has announced an adjustment to the format of its upcoming National Dialogue on Women in Politics: Thirty Years After Beijing, originally slated for Tuesday, 25 November 2025. The dialogue will now proceed in a hybrid format, allowing both physical attendees and virtual participants to join the important national conversation.

The Foundation, in a statement issued on Saturday, explained that the modification became necessary due to the tragic passing of Mr. Olusegun Awolọwọ, grandson of the late Chief Obafemi Awolọwọ and Chief (Mrs) HID Awolọwọ. His sudden death has cast a shadow of grief over the Awolọwọ family and the wider community that continues to cherish the legacies preserved by the family.

According to the announcement, those attending in person are invited to Ẹfunyẹla Hall in Ikenne, while others can participate via an online link to be provided by the organisers. This approach, the Foundation noted, ensures inclusivity and continuity despite the somber circumstances.

The Board also confirmed that a special segment of the event will be dedicated to honouring the memory of the late Segun Awolọwọ. The tribute will highlight his contributions to public service and celebrate the enduring values of integrity, leadership, and national commitment associated with the Awolọwọ heritage.
