The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to demonstrate genuine commitment to justice and the rule of law by producing the Commander of the state’s Amotekun Corps, Mr. Isaac Adekunle Omoyele, for police investigation over the recent Akinlalu massacre.

In a strongly worded statement issued on Sunday, October 12, 2025, and signed by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the APC accused Governor Adeleke of shielding Omoyele, who is allegedly a prime suspect in the incident that claimed several lives.

The statement noted that while the governor had earlier commended the police for their professionalism in handling the investigation, his continued protection of Omoyele—believed to be hiding in the Osogbo Government House—contradicts his professed belief in justice.

The APC described the alleged conduct of Omoyele as “condemnable, irresponsible, wicked, and unpatriotic,” adding that the governor must hand him over to the police immediately to salvage the integrity of his administration and restore public trust.

“Why would the commander of a state security outfit run from police interrogation if he has nothing to hide?” the party queried, warning that turning the Government House into a “refuge for a suspected criminal” would set a dangerous precedent.

The party urged Governor Adeleke to redeem his image by cooperating with law enforcement to ensure that justice is served in the Akinlalu killings, which it described as a national embarrassment.

Produce Amotekun Killer Corps Commander Omoyele For Police Investigation
– Osun APC Tasks Adeleke

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged the state Governor Ademola Adeleke to walk-the-talk, on his touted belief in justice and the rule of law, by helping the police in their investigation of the recent Akinlalu massacre of innocent people by the state killer Amotekun Corps.

It would be recalled that Governor Adeleke commended the police over their diligent and professional handling of the investigation of the needless extermination of citizens by the sanguinary Amotekun Corps.

However, to prove that he was not merely paying a lip-service to the call for prosecution of the blood-sucking vampires responsible for the carnage of innocent souls at Akinlalu, Governor Adeleke should prioritise the exposition of the Commander of Osun Amotekun, Mr Isaac Adekunle Omoyele.

If the news flying around in Osogbo, the state capital, is anything to go by that Omoyele, one of the crucial suspects in the dastardly act in Akinlalu, has been hibernating in the Government House, Osogbo, to evade the police arrest, it is condemnable, irresponsible, wicked and unpatriotic.

It is saddening that the governor is linked to the allegation of aiding and abetting the commission of crimes as it is now the case with his former Chief Security Officer, Omoyele, who is said to have been out of circulation immediately his balloon of lies on his staged assassination attempt was deflated by the police.

As a self-acclaimed patriot and believer in the rule of law, Governor Adeleke should, without further delay, hand over the state commander of the Amotekun, to the police for them to do a thorough investigation on the Akinlalu killings that have become a national embarrassment.

Why would the commander of a supposed state-owned security agency turn himself to the biblical fugitive Cain, running helter skelter to escape police interrogation, if truly he has no skeleton in his cupboard?

In order to redeem both his personal and government image, it is expedient for Governor Adeleke to instantly hand over the head of the killer Amotekun corps for justice.

It is not pleasant to hear that the Government House has become a refuge for a suspected criminal as such would be a dangerous precedent for justice and decency.
