Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, speaking during the handover in Yola, said the children, aged between 4 and 9, were abducted from different communities and trafficked for between ₦800,000 and ₦1.7 million each.

She disclosed that security operatives arrested the suspected ring leader, Ngozi Abdulwahab, who allegedly lured the children from her provision shop in Jambutu ward, Yola North, using snacks and gifts.

Farauta condemned the act as “an unfortunate monster ravaging the nation,” vowing that the suspect would face prosecution under federal and state laws, including the Trafficking in Persons Act and the Adamawa Child Protection Law.
