The Emir of Zuru in Kebbi State, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Sani Sami (rtd), has died at the age of 81.
The Kebbi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Garba Umar-Dutsinmari, confirmed the monarch’s death in a statement on Sunday in Birnin Kebbi.
Sani Sami died on Saturday night in a London hospital after an illness.
He is survived by four wives and seven children.
