The Abia State Independent State Peace Architecture (ISPA) has congratulated its Chairman, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, on his elevation to the rank of Archbishop in the Methodist Church Nigeria.
The appointment, conferred by the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba, is described by ISPA as a well-deserved recognition of Archbishop Onuoha’s lifelong commitment to faith, peacebuilding, and service to humanity.
In a congratulatory message signed by ISPA Secretary Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor alongside other members, the group commended Archbishop Onuoha’s visionary leadership and moral authority, noting that his role as Chairman has significantly advanced the state’s peace framework through dialogue and nonviolence initiatives.
The statement further described him as a “beacon of peace, justice, and reconciliation” whose work has impacted Abia State and Nigeria at large. It expressed confidence that his new role in the Methodist Church would further strengthen his capacity to promote unity and coexistence.
ISPA prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and grace upon Archbishop Onuoha as he assumes his expanded spiritual responsibilities.

The Abia State Independent State Peace Architecture (ISPA) proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to our esteemed Chairman, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, on his recent elevation to the esteemed office of Archbishop of the Methodist Church Nigeria.
This remarkable spiritual and leadership milestone, officially conferred by the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba, is a well-deserved recognition of Archbishop Onuoha’s unwavering dedication to faith, peacebuilding, and service to humanity.
Archbishop Onuoha has long been a beacon of peace, justice, and reconciliation in Abia State and beyond. As Chairman of ISPA, his visionary leadership, deep moral authority, and relentless commitment to fostering dialogue and nonviolence have greatly advanced the architecture of sustainable peace in the state. His elevation is not only a celebration of his ecclesiastical journey but also a reaffirmation of the vital role faith leaders play in promoting unity and coexistence in our society.
