The Commissioner of Police in Abia State Police Command, Danladi Isa has charged the men and officers of the Command to promptly and proficiently go after criminal elements in the State.
He gave the charge in Umuahia while handing over six newly refurbished patrol Vans to various Police Divisions in the State.
The patrol vehicles were distributed to the State traffic office, Umuahia, Scorpion Squad, Aba, Mbala Divisional Headquarters, and Nkporo Divisional Headquarters.
Others were Umuoba Divisional Headquarters and the newly established Abia State Police Band.
CP Danladi expressed deep appreciation to the Abia State government for its continued support, which made the refurbishment of the vehicles possible.
He further charged the officers to make judicious use of the vehicles in line with their core mandate of combating crime and responding promptly to the security needs of Abia people.
Responding to the charge, the heads of the Police Divisions thanked the Commissioner for further equipping them, promising to put the vehicles into judicious and efficient use.
