🔴 Breaking News:

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has countered claims by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, that northern governors won’t be re-elected in 2027 except they join the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Babachir, while appearing on Trust TV, claimed that the President Bola Tinubu-led APC administration has destroyed and marginalised the North.

According to him, most elected officials in the North will be left with no choice but to defect to the opposition ADC due to how the region has been treated under APC.

Reacting, Igbokwe in a comment on his Facebook page described Lawal’s remark as blackmail, stating that “it’s all noise”.

According to Igbokwe, Lawal lacks the capacity to deny APC governors re-election in 2027.

He wrote, “Oga blackmail will not help you. You do not have the capacity and capability to carry out what you are saying.

“It is all noise and no substance full of sound and fury signifying nothing. You will not even know when the train left the station sir.”
