The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa State has arrested a 15 year old boy Yau Adamu for allegedly killing a 19 years old boy in a farmland dispute.
The NSCDC in Jigawa Stat Commandant, Bala Bawa Bodinga confirmed the arrest in a statement issued to Newspot.
He said the suspect, Ya’u Adamu from Auno village in Kafin Hausa Local Government, was arrested in connection with a case of culpable homicide.
He explained that the incident happened when the suspect found the deceased Aliyu Barau’s livestock grazing on his father’s farmland.
The situation led to confrontation which subsequently turned into violence, leaving the victim with serious internal injuries.
The victim was confirmed dead by the medical doctor at Kafin Hausa General hospital.
The case has since been transferred to the Jigawa State Police Command for further investigation and possible prosecution.
