The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially closed its National Secretariat in Abuja as a mark of respect for the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2025.
In a statement released today by the Partyβs National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, the closure takes effect from Monday, July 14, and will last until Wednesday, July 16, with operations set to resume on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
The directive, issued by the Acting National Chairman of the APC, Hon. Bukar Dalori, was described as a gesture of solemn tribute to the late leader, whose tenure and legacy continue to shape Nigeriaβs democratic history.
βWe urge Party faithful to use this period of national mourning for quiet reflection and prayers for the repose of the soul of our departed leader,β Morka stated.
President Buhari, who led Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, was widely regarded as a symbol of anti-corruption and discipline during his administration. His passing has triggered an outpouring of tributes from across the political spectrum, reflecting his enduring influence on the national stage.

APC CLOSES NATIONAL SECRETARIAT IN HONOUR OF LATE FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
The All Progressives Congress (APC) announces the closure of its National Secretariat in Abuja in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
As directed by the Acting National Chairman of our great Party, Hon. Bukar Dalori, the Party’s National Secretariat will be closed starting today, Monday, July 14 and will reopen on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
We urge Party faithful to use this period of national mourning for quiet reflection and prayers for the repose of the soul of our departed leader.
