Trump has signed a new Executive Order aimed at reshaping how national parks are funded and accessed, particularly by foreign visitors. The Order, signed on July 3, 2025, significantly increases entrance fees for international tourists, while prioritizing access and affordability for American families.
The White House described the move as part of Trump’s broader effort to “Make Our National Parks Great Again,” framing it as a matter of fairness, conservation, and national pride. “American citizens fund these parks with their tax dollars, yet they currently pay the same fee as foreign visitors who contribute nothing to their upkeep,” the fact sheet reads.
