OSOGBO āĀ Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has restated his administrationās unwavering commitment to the rule of law and peaceful governance, following the recent Court of Appeal judgment that affirmed the legitimacy of the 2022-elected PDP chairmen and councillors across the stateās local governments.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Governor Adeleke congratulated the people of Osun for their patience and dedication to due process, describing the courtās ruling as a vindication of truth and a clear reaffirmation of legality. The judgment, he said, “has finally put paid to the falsehood about the reinstatement of previously sacked APC chairmen.”
The governor also praised the PDP local government chairmen and councillors for their restraint and loyalty to lawful governance. “Your patience and support for the law has paid off,” Adeleke said, while noting that the courtās ruling has been circulated to all relevant authorities both at the state and federal levels.
In a veiled message to the opposition, Governor Adeleke asserted that the PDP remains committed to constitutional order: āUnlike the opposition, we are people of due process.ā He also commended the security agencies for maintaining calm and upholding the law amid political tensions.
Reassuring residents of Osun State, the governor declared that āevil plots against our dear state on all fronts have been foiledā, urging the public to resist any provocation aimed at destabilizing peace and governance.
The recent ruling marks a critical milestone in the protracted legal battle over local government leadership in Osun, which began after the previous APC-aligned officials were removed by a 2022 court decision for failing to meet statutory requirements.

Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed commitment to pursue resolution of the Osun local government question to a logical conclusion through legal means, congratulating people of Osun State over the recent Court of Appeal judgement.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the governor hailed the court ruling as finally reaffirming the truth about the legality of the validly elected and sworn-in PDP chairmen and councillors following the court sacking of APC chairmen in 2022.
The governor who commended the patience and commitment to due process by Osun people, noted that the latest judgement has put paid to any lie about reinstatement of previously sacked chairmen and affirmed the legitimacy of the PDP chairmen and councillors.
āUnlike the opposition, we are people of due process. The latest judgement is being served on all relevant stakeholders at state and national level. Our expectation is a quick restoration of normalcy in line with the law.
I appreciate the deep love for peace and unity as demonstrated by the PDP Chairmen and councillors of the 30 local government and area councils since their swearing in. Your patience and support for the law has paid off,ā the Governor reiterated.
The state governor further thanked security agencies for their commitment to law as well as peace and tranquility of Osun state even as he urged citizens and residents to continue to peacefully conduct themselves.
