Suspected kidnappers stormed Kado Community in Zone C of Alubo 2 off Karu Palace after Mararaba on the way to Keffi- Abuja Expressway abducted a senior Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC officer Pastor Dare Bello and his neighbour Eugene.
As at the time of writing this report details from a veteran sports writer and analyst Eniola Olatunji said the abductors had released Eugene on health ground but they were asking for N50m ransom for the release of Pastor Dare.
Narrating how the event happened, Olatunji who is also a neighbor of Pastor Dare said: ” The residents were woken up at around 1 am with several gunshots and banging on doors to scare away our security guards .
“They went straight to Pastor Dare’s residence abducted him and moved to Eugene’s apartment forced him out. But they later realised that Eugene had problems with his legs and suffering from swollen mouth.
” Eugene was later abandoned and was picked up by the community searching party.
” The police responded two hours after our distress calls by that time the hoodlums had escaped with their abductors.
” Members of the community have taken Eugene to a nearby hospital where he is receiving treatment. ”
