Alejandro Garnacho’s girlfriend has fuelled speculation that the forward could be set to leave Manchester United.
The 20-year-old broke out of United’s academy in 2022 and has gone on to establish himself as one the most promising young attackers in Premier League football.
But Garnacho faces an uncertain future after criticising United boss Ruben Amorim in the wake of the side’s crushing Europa League final loss to Tottenham in the week.
Garnacho started on the substitutes bench and was only given 20 minutes to make a difference as the Red Devils searched in vain for an equaliser at Bilbao’s San Mames Stadium.
It’s understood Amorim responded to Garnacho’s explosive comments by informing the Argentina international that he would be free to find a new club this summer.

The latest reports claim United are prepared to do business for a fee of around £60million, with the Old Trafford giants eager to balance the books and alleviate their FFP concerns.
Newly crowned Serie A champions Napoli have been credited with a strong interest in Garnacho and Chelsea are ready to to step up their pursuit having explored a move for the 2024 Puskas Award winner in January.
After United’s defeat to Spurs last Wednesday, Garnacho’s brother took to Instagram to blast Amorim, accusing United’s head coach of throwing his sibling ‘under the bus’.
Now, Garnacho’s partner, Eva Garcia, has fanned the flames and has supporters convinced the winger’s days at the club are numbered.
On her Instagram stories, Garcia shared a photograph of the United kit she had laid out for their young son, Enzo, with the caption ‘last match’.
The post – uploaded just hours before United’s contest with Villa – was accompanied by a love heart and a crying emoji.
Garnacho was subsequently left out of United’s matchday squad for the Premier League encounter, along with goalkeeper Andre Onana.
‘Last match for Alejandro Garnacho for Manchester United. Thanks for your service to the club,’ @S8ashi responded on X, formerly known as Twitter.
‘Good throw him out,’ @fantastistas wrote.
‘A shame to see a young player with so much potential leave the club. Regardless of who’s fuelling the move the immaturity of Garnacho and the people around him haven’t helped the situation. Comes across like he’s a complete player at just 20 but there’s still lots of development,’ @damo27260 replied.
‘Splendid news… but you need to find a club who rate your boy as much as he rates himself and cough up,’ @InsideTrack1958 said
‘Goodbye Garna,’ @utd_kja wrote.
Asked about Garnacho ahead of United’s clash with Villa, Amorim told reporters: ‘I will speak with my players but the focus is the last game.
‘I don’t know what is going to happen but we have a plan.
‘We were prepared for both situations, with Champions League and without.
‘We have an idea of the type of squad we want but we still have the last game. We have time to address all these situations.’
Garnacho still has three years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford.
