Nigeria National League (NNL) side Edel FC has declared Emmanuel Ibeakamma Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).
The Anambra-based club made the announcement in a statement released on Saturday.
According to the club, the player has been missing since April 2025, despite multiple attempts to reach him.
“The management of Edel FC, after a careful and patient wait, wishes to inform the relevant football authorities and fans that Mr. Emmanuel Ibeakamma has been Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) since April 2025,” part of the statement read.
“Despite several efforts by the club to reach out to him through various channels, there has been no communication or response from Emmanuel regarding his return.
“This is a clear violation of the club’s professional code of conduct. Edel FC is treating the matter with utmost seriousness, as the said player is under contract with the club until 2028.”
