In a landmark development for women’s golf, Craig Kessler has been appointed the 10th Commissioner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), ushering in a transformative era for one of the sport’s most influential organizations.
Kessler brings a unique blend of executive acumen and a lifelong passion for the game. As former Chief Operating Officer of the PGA of America, he was instrumental in overseeing major tournaments such as the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, while also guiding the PGA’s philanthropic initiatives.
Beyond golf, Kessler has a strong business pedigree. As CEO of Buff City Soap, he led the company’s expansion from 100 to 260 locations across 32 U.S. states. His earlier career spanned top-tier consulting and private equity, with impactful roles at McKinsey & Company, KKR, and Providence Equity Partners.
An alumnus of Georgetown University and Harvard Business School, Kessler currently serves on the boards of the National Golf Foundation and UT Southwestern hospital system, and previously served on the Dallas Mavericks Advisory Board.
He is also the author of the national bestseller The Dad Advice Project, which compiles insights and reflections from 40 fathers to inspire and support new dads.
