The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain have called on Israel to adhere to international law and allow unhindered passage of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The ministers made the call in a joint statement on Wednesday.
“Humanitarian aid must never be used as a political tool and Palestinian territory must not be reduced nor subjected to any demographic change,” the ministers said.
They urged all parties to return to a ceasefire and called on Hamas to immediately release the remaining hostages.
Newspot recalls that Israel had adopted a policy of blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza to undermine Hamas’ control over the population.
Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, outlined Israel’s border war strategy, which he said aims to secure the release of hostages and ultimately defeat Hamas.
