British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has predicted what Donald Trump’s tariffs might mean for the UK.
The US President on Wednesday, imposed 10% tariffs on imports of British goods.
During his speech, Trump declared war on countries he described as “foreign cheaters”.
The trade levies include 20% on the EU, 34% on China, 26% on India and 49% on Cambodia.
Trump has now signed the executive order and now Morgan has had his say on the tariffs.
He wrote on X: “PREDICTION: President Trump’s global tariff war is either going to be a spectacular success or a total disaster. I have no clue which.”
In a speech he made, Trump said: “Taxpayers have been ripped off for more than 50 years. But it is not going to happen anymore.
“April 2, 2025, will forever be remembered as the day American industry was reborn, the day America’s destiny was reclaimed, and the day that we began to make America wealthy again.”
