According to a post on his official Truth Social account, Trump said Gen. Caine would replace a top U.S. Army General, CQ Brown, who was earlier fired.

The U.S. President stated that Caine, a retired three-star general, was “instrumental” in defeating the ISIS terrorist group during his first term.

Trump also alleged that the general was passed over for promotion in the immediate past administration led by former President Joe Biden.
