Elon Musk, the leader of the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, has insisted that the Department of Education no longer exists.
This comes as DOGE officials gained access to “administrator” email accounts at the Department of Education.
DOGE’s action led to sharp ciriticism from American activists and politicians, including Congressman Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost.
Alejandro had recently shared a video from the office of the Department of Education and claimed that DOGE’s officials are blocking members of Congress from entering the Department of Education in his social media posts.
He called the access of information to DOGE staff illegal.
Reacting to Alejandro’s criticism, Musk said, “No such department exists in the federal government,” reported MSNBC.
Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump had backed Musk and DOGE to swung into action to cut costs across agencies, including the Department of Education
Trump backed Musk and his team to find hundreds of billions of dollars linked to fraud and abuse in the agency.
