In a decisive operation on January 14, 2025, troops of Operation Fansan Yanma, in collaboration with the Zamfara State Community Watch, successfully neutralized two bandits terrorizing communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to Zagazola Makama, security expert and analyst, the operation targeted criminal hideouts in the western part of Tsafe, particularly in the Sungawa, Yalwa, and Rakyabu areas.
This mission is part of a broader effort to dismantle criminal activities in the region.
“These bandits were a constant source of fear and suffering for residents,” the source revealed.
“They frequently extorted money and valuables from the locals and, at times, committed senseless killings to instill terror.”
The success of the operation marks another step in the ongoing offensive against banditry, offering hope for improved security and peace in the affected areas.
