Afrobeat singer, Davido plans to donate ₦300 million to different orphanages to mark his birthday this year.

To celebrate his birthday on November 21, he pledged to donate a whopping amount of money to commemorate this year’s birthday.

The musician shared on the microblogging site X that, as part of his birthday celebration, he would be giving to orphanages and a foundation that helps young people avoid drug abuse and addiction.

“Once again my birthday this year we Donating to orphanages [sic] and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m . Details to follow soon”

Online users criticized the singer’s initiative, arguing that he should quit smoking before trying to assist the youth or donating to charity foundations.
