This assessment is part of a broader effort to ensure the safety of critical water infrastructure across the country, particularly in the wake of recent flooding incidents.

Ali Ibrahim, Director of Dams and Reservoirs at the Federal Ministry of Water Resources spoke to reporters during the inspection on Wednesday.

He confirmed that, based on the preliminary physical evaluation, the Dadin-Kowa Dam appears structurally safe. However, he stated the need for further, in-depth assessments to detect any internal issues.
