Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, father of renowned businessman and late Access Holdings CEO Herbert Wigwe, marked a significant milestone on Wednesday as he celebrated his 90th birthday.
To commemorate this special occasion, a grand birthday dinner was held in Lagos in his honor, according to TheNewsGuru reports.
As a respected pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Wigwe’s life and legacy were celebrated by loved ones, friends, and fellow congregants.
Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and a close friend of the late Herbert Wigwe, also graced the occasion, sharing in the joy with friends and family throughout the celebration.
Access Bank and its chairman, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, joined the celebration, with the latter sending cakes on behalf of his family and the bank.
Pastor Shyngle Wigwe’s birthday comes just months after the devastating loss of his son, Herbert Wigwe, who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash on February 6, 2024.
Herbert’s wife and son also lost their lives in the accident, which occurred near the Nevada-California border in the United States.
