The same President Carter has become the longest surviving former President who at 100 years of age has now made a difference to the whole world by finding a permanent cure for Guinea Worm in the African Continent and by maintaining peace in the Middle East spanning a period of 40 years after leaving the White House.
The greatness of America rests squarely on the activities of President Ronald Reagan and his views on what he called the Evil Empire and his views on the value of Immigrants to America and his imperishable legacy of collaborating with British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to fast-track the dissolution of the old Soviet Union and the fall of the Warsaw Pact in 1991 and the merger or the amalgamation of the West and East Germany into one country.
The greatness rests on the views and the bravery of leaders like Senator John McCain of Arizona and the views and the heroic stories of leaders like Bill Clinton for advancing the peace between Israel and the Palestinian State, and Barack Obama who had passed the Affordable Health Care Legislation despite still opposition from the Republicans or Joe Robinnet Biden who the convicted felon Donald Trump has nicknamed as “crooked Joe” but who has done more than any American leader, dead or alive, to unite NATO and to save Ukraine from Russia and to salvage Democracy from the threat posed by Donald Trump and his gang of insurrectionists and Coup plotters on January 6, 2021.
The greatness of America is predicated on the stories of women like Shirley Chisholm,, Maya Angelou, Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Oprah Winfrey, Liz Cheney, Beyonce and Taylor Swift and many more stories of leaders like the great Revd Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, Thurgood Marshall, Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, the great Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson and Revd Al Sharpton not to talk of hundreds of other Americans of repute who have shaped World History like President FDR Franklin Delano Roosevelt who had collaborated with the great Prime Minister Winston Churchill to save Europe by defeating the notorious Adolf Hitler and to end the Second World War from 1939 to 1945.
