The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has responded, emphasizing the dangers of migrating to Libya.

“We are currently investigating the viral video circulating,

but we want to stress that there was a clear warning against this dangerous path.”

They noted that many Nigerians continue to migrate to Libya despite previous advisories.

The commission also spoke on the ongoing efforts of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which has helped nearly 4,000 Nigerians return home in recent months.

They have called on anyone with information about the detained women or the locations of the prisons to come forward.
