Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, could be without Riccardo Calafiori for next weekend’s Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur.
Calafiori was forced to withdraw from Italy’s squad on Sunday.
The 22-year-old picked a calf problem during the second half of his country’s 3-1 win away to France in the Nations League on Friday evening.
The injury forced Calafiori to be taken off in the 71st minute of the game.
Italy’s Football Association has now revealed that Calafiori has left camp and will return to the UK for further medical tests.
The Azzurris are due to face Israel in their second Nations League fixture on Monday evening.
Arteta is already without Declan Rice, who will miss the game due to his controversial red card in the 1-1 draw with Brighton last weekend.
