Juventus are in negotiations with Manchester United over a deal to sign Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Sancho has been back in the first-team picture over the summer a year on from his dramatic and very public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag which resulted in him being banished from the first-team squad.

After spending the second-half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, the Londoner was part of United’s pre-season tour of the US after seemingly burying the hatchet with ten Hag.

His future once again came under scrutiny however after he was left out of the squad for United’s opening Premier League match against Fulham last Friday. While he had been dealing with an ear infection in the lead-up to the match, ten Hag tellingly remarked he also ‘preferred other players’.

Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho are all ahead of Sancho in the pecking order at Old Trafford with Antony also competing for a role.

RMC Sport now report Juventus have launched their bid to sign the United star with negotiations between the two clubs currently underway.

The report states United are looking for a fee of around €30million (£25m).

Chelsea and Barcelona have also been credited with interest.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday afternoon, ten Hag would not confirm whether Sancho will be considered for his squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Brighton.

He did however send a warning to Sancho and the rest of his squad, demanding they ‘deal’ with his tough decisions over who makes the starting XI.

Asked if Sancho could return to the squad this weekend, ten Hag said: ‘We will see. We have a squad, I hope we will have a squad with double positioning and when we go into the season after September 1, that means you can’t select all the players but you need them all throughout the season.

‘We have to manage it, the attitude of the players is very important, sometimes they will be disappointed they have to deal with it, you win as a squad.

‘The prizes are decided next May and until then we need all the players in the squad and highly motivated, that is not an expectation, that is a demand on the squad.’
