Emeritus Archbishop of Benin Most Rev. Ekpu is dead. He was 92.

According to a release signed by the Benin Archdiocesan Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Michael Oyanoafoh, the deceased prelate died on Tuesday, 6 August 2024, at exactly 7:09 p.m. after a brief illness.

The Archbishop of Benin, Most Rev. Augustine Obiora Akubeze, solicits prayers for the happy repose of the soul of his predecessor.
