We start day seven on a low note, looking back at the disappointment of Andy Murray finishing his career and heading into retirement without the fairytale ending he craved and many longed for.
Day seven of the Paris 2024 Olympics has begun with Team GB hoping to add to their ever-increasing medal haul.
All three of Great Britain’s medals on day six of the Games came courtesy of the rowers at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
That left GB fourth in the medal table with 20 captured so far in the French capital. USA have the most medals with 37 but China have the most golds, 11 compared to the Americans’ nine.

Gold medals will be handed out at Roland Garros this evening while several popular athletics event take place, including the men’s 10,000m final.
