Police confirm murder of local vigilante member in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a member of a local vigilante group, Onelga Security Peace and Advisory Committee, OSPAC, in Igwuruta community, Ikwerre Local Government Area.

Police identified the victim as Prince.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that an investigation is ongoing to apprehend those responsible and ensure they face justice.

Reports indicate that OSPAC members responded to a kidnapping distress call and were ambushed by unknown gunmen, resulting in Prince’s death.
