The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) will introduce modern communication gadgets from the 2024/25 season.
Newspot reports that the NPFL chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, announced the new initiative during his interaction with the media.
“There is no perfect league anywhere in the world, and we are still going through the development stages,” Elegbeleye stated.
“By next season, we are going to introduce some gadgets for referees.”
Elegbeleye also highlighted efforts to strengthen youth programs across NPFL clubs. “We are also going to improve on the youth program because we made sure all the clubs registered all their feeders’ teams as part of the club licensing last season,” he explained.
Rangers won the NPFL title in the 2023/24 season with Remo Stars and Enyimba coming second and third respectively.
The new campaign will kick-off on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
