Nollywood actress, Merit Gold advises Nigerians to amass wealth before making mistakes as she berates Christians celebrating Davido’s wedding despite having kids out of wedlock.
The actress took to her Instagram story to tackle Christians celebrating the singer’s wedding but condemning their congregation for committing fornication before their wedding.
It is no news that in 2019 the Afrobeat singer and his wife, Chioma welcomed their son, Ifeanyi but lost him in 2022. The couple later welcomed a set of twins, months after the loss of their son, all before they were officially married.
Merit Gold exclaimed that many Christians on social media are congratulating and jubilating with the couple despite the fact, that they had children before their extravagant wedding.
She wrote,
“Christians will celebrate David’s wedding even after giving birth to 3 children, but crucify the ones in there congregation who fornicate and want to wed. In this life, make Money before you make Mistake”
The actress’s opinion has triggered netizens’ attention with many sharing their experience on how the church crucified their congregation for dressing or behaving in a certain way on their wedding day.
Some disapprove of her opinion, claiming the couple were legally hitched secretly for years before announcing their extravagant wedding which took place in Lagos.
