President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday 12 June slipped while boarding the parade vehicle at the venue of the 2024 Democracy Day.
An aide to the President explained that close look at the video showed the President was not looking down to watch his steps but was excitedly ready to wave to the crowd.
” It was an accidental fall that could happen to anyone. Something like this happened often at homes. We should credit the President of recovering quickly from the slip and strongly went through the parade without any sign of discomfort.”
The President had approached the vehicle shortly after he arrived at the Eagles Square, Abuja venue of the programme.
The President lost his footing momentarily as he was about to step into the vehicle.
However, despite the slip, the President quickly regained his balance and continued with the proceedings.
The event at Eagles Square was part of a series of events to mark the country’s Democracy Day celebration.
