  • The Sales Manager for the Holidays Department plays a pivotal role in driving sales and revenue growth within the business-to-business (B2B) vertical of the travel management company, specifically focusing on holiday packages.
  • This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, cultivating relationships with B2B clients, and leading a sales team to achieve targets and maximize profitability in the holidays segment.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate the B2B market and expand the company’s presence in the holidays segment.
  • Identify target markets, customer segments, and key accounts to prioritize sales efforts and achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales tactics and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Business Development:

  • Prospect and acquire new B2B clients, including travel agencies, corporate clients, tour operators, and other relevant partners.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the travel industry to promote holiday packages and secure partnerships.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions to win new business and driverevenue growth.

Account Management:

  • Manage and grow existing B2B client accounts through proactive communication, personalized service, and value-added offerings.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling holiday packages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

Sales Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing sales team dedicated to the holidays department, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed.
  • Set clear sales targets and performance goals for team members, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to drive results.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture focused on excellence, professionalism, and exceeding customer expectations.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Utilize sales analytics tools and CRM systems to track sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts accurately.
  • Generate regular sales reports and analysis to evaluate performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic decision-making.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, sales materials, and marketing collateral tailored to the B2B holidays market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Hospitality Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Deep understanding of the Nigerian travel market, including trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
