Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville but they are not alone, with West Ham, Bournemouth and Fulham also chasing the winger.

The 22-year-old had an amazing season in the Championship with Leeds, scoring 20 goals in 46 games.

The West Yorkshire club narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League as they were beaten by Southampton in the Play-Off final and as a result are expected to sell a number of their most valued assets to avoid an increasingly worrying financial situation.

Summerville is certainly a player who is attracting a lot of suitors and Leeds will have no problem selling him during the coming transfer window, they will just be hoping the competition for his signing will drive up the price.

The Sun report that the Dutch star is valued between £35-40m, but with Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth all vying for his signature then the price could climb above that mark.

However much he goes for this summer it will represent a huge profit on the fee of around £1.3m that Leeds paid for the winger when they signed him from Feyenoord in 2020.

Summerville will be a huge loss for the Elland Road club as they look to push for promotion again next season under manager Daniel Farke, who is expected to stay on despite Wembley disappointment at the weekend.

Farke spoke in glowing terms of Summerville earlier this season, praising not only his talent but his work ethic in training and on the pitch.

‘He is playing an outstanding season in terms of performances, end product and also his willingness to work for the team, to be there and deliver on a daily basis even in training, otherwise you can’t deliver consistency in this league,’ said Farke.

‘You have to be on it each and every day on the training pitch but also with good habits in nutrition, sleep and recovery. We don’t have to speak about the potential of Cree, the sky is the limit with his potential but to show consistency this is crucial. It’s no coincidence he has delivered many end products.’
