Job description: Job Description:Our client is a renowned leading Civil Engineering and Construction firm in Nigeria.The company is seeking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the management of the engineering processes to deliver effective and efficient engineering solutions of value.Job Summary: This is a supervisory role within the Project Management Office, which requires the development of engineering strategies for projects working with other members of the engineering office to ensure that engineering design is carried out seamlessly. The Senior Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible for all MEP design works providing both back-end and front-end engineering design solutions in MEP works. While the job is location-based, it also necessitates site visits to project locations for data harvesting and feedback.Key Responsibilities:§ Conversant with all Electrical/HVAC and Plumbing design codes and standards.§ Coordinating with other engineering and design discipline team members§ Review/Prepare 2D AutoCAD Design Drawings.§ Review/Prepare 3D Models using Revit, Auto Plant, BIM, or similar software and extract design drawings from these models.§ Develop coordinated service drawings with other disciplines.§ Responding to reports and requests for information.§ Reviewing stamped and finalized drawings (including piping plans and sections, piping.§ Ensuring engineering, design quality, and technical accuracy of drawings, 3D models, material quantities, specifications, and procedures.§ Prepare demolition layouts/schematics, and tie-in requirements and translate them into drawings.§ Develops design concepts, and prepares documents during various stages of design. Corrects and updates design documents. Develops solutions to design problems.§ Monitors all project team construction works, and subcontractor works to ensure their compliance with the job specifications and time plan.§ Oversight activities of drafting.§ Provide technical quality reviews and ensure adherence to Quality Control processes, Codes, and Standards.§ Participates in engineering, design, and construction review processes.§ Leads and conducts value-engineering studies of alternative design approaches.§ Interprets plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction.§ Leads or assists with investigations of mechanical-related issues, including root cause analysis as needed.§ Additional duties as required.Requirements§ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering§ 10+ years of mechanical systems engineering design§ 5+ years of experience in Oil and Gas Engineering Design§ Hands-on competencies in the following software:§ Autodesk AutoCad and Revit.§ Knowledge of engineering design software.§ An in-depth understanding of Engineering design processes in the oil and gas sector is an advantage§ Exceptional Leadership and Time management skills§ Excellent communication skills both written and oral§ High Attention to detailBenefitsCompensation: Basic Pay is BTW N500k – N600k Monthly + other interesting benefits
