Job description: We are seeking an experience Construction Contracts Manager with a valid SA Passport for an indefinite fixed term contract based in Nigeria.Main job functionKnowledge of Construction ScienceUnderstanding Earthworks, Construction and Building ServicesUnderstanding Construction and Building FinishesKnowledge of MaterialsKnowledge of Construction ProcessesSite, Plant and EquipmentFormwork SystemsQuality ManagementHealth and Safety ManagementEnvironmental ManagementOrganizational / Management StructuresGeneral Building SequencesGeneral Output / Production FactorsKnowledge of TradesPrepare, co-ordinate and monitor a Project Initiation ProgrammeConcept DevelopmentPreliminary CostingPrepare Indicative Construction ProgrammePrepare Documentation Programme / SchedulePrepare Procurement Programme / ScheduleAgree Contract ProgrammeCo-ordinate Documentation Programme with Contract ProgrammeMonitor and Co-ordinate Quality Management of Design ProcessesMonitor and co-ordinate design process.Prepare Agenda, Chair and prepare minutes.Co-ordinate and monitor cost control by Quantity Surveyors / EngineersCo-ordinate and monitor preparation of Procurement DocumentationFacilitate and monitor the preparation of health and safety specifications.Facilitate the preparation of all conditions of contract.Manage the prequalification, tendering, adjudication, recommendation, and appointment processes.Take responsibility for and perform the role of principal agent on building contract.Build good relationships (Partnering) between client, consulting, and construction teams.Resolution of Contractor QueriesIssue, costing and implementation of site instructions and variations.Monitor and Review construction progress and programme updates.Co-ordinate and monitor interface between all Contractors.Monitor long lead items and off-site production.Manage resolve and certify progress and contractual claims.Oversee and co-ordinate preparation and issue of defects lists.Monitor implementation of remedial works by contractorsOversee and facilitate the agreement of final accounts.Expedite and co-ordinate project close out.QualificationsRelevant Diploma / Degree and or equivalentExperience/Criteria3 + Years experience as a Contracts Manager (Construction site)People Management skillsRemunerationR50 000 plus benefits pmA Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
