🔴 Breaking News:

In what appears a dramatic turn of events, the Benue State Legal Adviser for the All Progressives Congress APC, Matthew Alyebo Esq, on Monday, secured a major victory in Makurdi Court for embattled state chairman of the party, Comrd. Austin Agada.

Alyebo on Monday successfully moved the court to strike out two cases filed against the party’s State Chairman and another party leader, Benjamin Omakolo.

The cases, filed by Moses Agaba and Benjamin Omakolo respectively, were dismissed due to lack of diligence and abandonment by the plaintiffs.

Notably, the plaintiffs’ counsel, JJ Usman (SAN), was absent in court without prior notice or correspondence, further solidifying the case for dismissal.

Delivering the ruling, Justice Polycarp Kwahar agreed with Alyebo’s argument, stating that the plaintiffs had indeed abandoned their cases.

The two cases were subsequently struck out, marking a significant victory for the APC and its leaders.

This development is seen as a major win for the party, as it clears the way for its leaders to focus on their political endeavors without the burden of pending litigation.

Both parties could not be reached to speak to the press as at the time of filing this report
