“I’m successful because of the women who worked hard to pave the way” – Simi

Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, better known as Simi, has acknowledged that there are women who paved the way for her in the entertainment sector.

She stated that she would not give herself more credit than she deserves because there are those who have sacrificed a lot to challenge the status quo and provide other female performers with an equal opportunity to succeed.

During a conversation with African Folder, Simi made this statement about appreciating the advantages that come from the labour of the women who came before her.

In her words; “There are women who have worked hard to damn the status quo. So, I won’t give myself much credit than for because I also benefitted from other women who came before me.”

In other news, popular on-air personality Nedu has pleaded with his gym buddies in a recent video he shared on his Instagram page that they should normalize using body sprays when coming to the gym.

The internet personality who appeared frustrated by how some of his gym buddies smell, encouraged them to buy body deodorants.

He could be heard admonishing people who regularly visit the gym to use body deodorants when coming.

Nedu went on to complain about how some of his gym buddies look attractive but smell horribly, describing the stench of the smell as ‘soakaway and dead rat’.
