- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Officer with a strong background in manufacturing to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- The Account Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the production team to manage inventory levels.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory valuation and provide recommendations for adjustments.
Cost Analysis:
- Analyze manufacturing costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Work closely with the operations team to optimize production processes.
- Provide cost estimates for new products or projects.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate financial performance and key metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a reputable organization.
- Proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
