Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has named two Premier League bosses who would snub the manager’s job at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag is currently in charge of the Red Devils but they have largely struggled in his season season and look set to miss out on the top four.
United’s new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has not provided his public backing to Ten Hag and even the club’s players now think he will be sacked this summer.
A number of managers have been linked to the job should it become available at the end of the season – with ex-Chelsea boss Graham Potter strongly rumoured.
England boss Gareth Southgate was also heavily linked but has since distanced himself from the role, feeling the speculation was unfair on Ten Hag.
Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou and Aston Villa’s Unai Emery have seen their names mentioned too – but Bosnich doesn’t think they would be interested.
‘Both of them know they’ve got massive projects at the clubs they’re at,’ Bosnich told FastestPayoutOnlineCasino.com.
‘Both [of them are] doing fantastic jobs at Tottenham and Aston Villa. I think both of them would say, listen, we’ve still got jobs to do at the places that we’re at so thanks but no thanks.
‘The job at Manchester United is still a bigger job in terms of potential and it being a massive project, but right now they are both slightly closer to winning the league than United are, although they are all a long way off.
‘I think Postecoglou and Emery would both want to fulfil the tasks they’ve got rather than take up the Manchester United job.’
Next Man Utd manager betting odds
Sky Bet’s current odds for who will replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd:
Gareth Southgate – 2/1
Graham Potter – 5/2
Roberto De Zerbi – 7/1
Thomas Tuchel – 8/1

Emery has massively impressed since taking the Villa job in October 2022 – guiding them to Europa Conference League qualification – an achievement which saw him nominated for Premier League Manager of the Season.
He’s also enjoyed successful spells at Sevilla and Paris-Saint Germain, winning three Europa League titles at the former and a domestic league title at the latter.
Emery spent the 2018-19 campaign in charge of Arsenal, as they finished as runners-up in the Europa League and missed out on the top four by one point in the first season after Arsene Wenger’s departure.
Postecoglou, meanwhile, took the Spurs job this summer after a trophy-laden spell at Scottish club Celtic.
He remarkably was named Premier League Manager of the Month there times in a row from August until October and has been lauded for his style of football and transfer decisions.
Postecoglou has also been linked to the Liverpool job – with Jurgen Klopp set to leave at the end of the season – but the Australian has distanced himself from the role.
