Jens Lehmann says Arsenal are favourites in the Gunners’ Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich.

The Gunners take on the Bundesliga champions at the Emirates on Tuesday, before a trip to the Allianz Arena in the second leg.

Bayern, six-time winners of the European Cup, have suffered a miserable season under Thomas Tuchel.

The German is stepping down at the end of the season, with Bayer Leverkusen set to end Bayern’s 11-year Bundesliga-winning run.

Arsenal, by contrast, could end their 20-year wait for a league title as they lead the Premier League with seven matches remaining.

And, while Lehmann says Bayern have the ability to pull off a result, he believes Arsenal’s defensive solidity and pace in attack could be too much for the Germans.

‘Arsenal are slight favourites but Bayern are still a team with players who can always make the difference and also have the experience to win big tight games,’ said Lehmann.

‘From my perspective, they have more weaknesses than Arsenal. The organization, for example. Inconsistency is mostly a matter of organization.

‘Arsenal also maintain a high pace throughout most positions. That is lacking at Bayern. And Arsenal are defensively more stable.’

Arsenal have a fully fit squad to choose from, barring Jurien Timber who remains on the mend from an ACL injury.

Bayern hope to have  Aleksandar Pavlovic, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane and Noussair Mazraoui available for the trip to London.

Manuel Neuer is also set to play, having trained for the last two days.
