Be more committed, professional – Jigawa CP warns promoted officers

The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, has urged newly promoted senior police officers to be more committed and professional while discharging their responsibilities.

He made the call while decorating the 17 senior officers held at the command’s headquarters, Dutse.

He said the promoted officers were elevated from the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police to substantive rank of Superintendents of Police.

Abdullahi explained that the promotion was as a result of the Inspector General of Police’s recommendation and approval of the Police Service Commission.

He, therefore, congratulated them on their recent promotion on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police.

He encouraged them to work diligently and maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties as the police has confidence in them.

The CP also urged them to lead by example, inspire their subordinates, and work collaboratively with other security agencies to combat crime and maintain peace in the State.

Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, SP Ahmed Mudi, expressed his profound gratitude to Allah for sparing their lives to witness the memorable occasion.

He thanked the IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Police Service Commission and the Jigawa State Police Commissioner and the Management Team for finding them worthy of the promotion.

He further assured the CP of their readiness, devotion and dedication to serve their fatherland and Jigawa in particular.
