Multigate seeking to expand her revenue team and is seeking a dynamic FX Sales Executive to help drive continued growth. The role involves a 360-degree approach, encompassing research, prospecting, client acquisition, onboarding, and initial account management. The FX Sales Executive will be responsible for playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding our client base. In this non-people management role, you will focus on FX sales, account management, and client relationship development. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, building strong client relationships, and providing expert advice on FX trading and financial products.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the SME and Corporate sector for money movement and foreign exchange solutions.
- Drive new corporate business through direct sales, following a ‘hunter’ approach under the guidance of the Chief Revenue Officer.
- Prospect, present, and close deals while managing the entire sales cycle, ensuring compliance and customer onboarding.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
- Develop a strategic approach for identifying and prospecting new clients.
- Initiate and manage campaigns to introduce potential clients to our services.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
- Present our treasury management solutions persuasively.
- Negotiate and close deals to onboard new clients.
- Guide clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition into our platform.
- Provide clients with comprehensive information about our products and services.
- Address client inquiries and concerns during the onboarding phase.
- Manage and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
- Stay updated on market developments.
- Collaborate with research and trading teams to enhance the client experience.
- Proactively identify and target potential clients for FX trading services.
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Understand clients’ financial goals and risk tolerance to tailor FX solutions accordingly.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic news, and relevant financial products.
- Provide clients with insights and recommendations on FX trading and related products.
- Collaborate with research and analysis teams to enhance client offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and feedback.
- Generate periodic reports on sales performance and client portfolio.
- Collaborate with other teams, including trading, research, and compliance, to provide seamless client service.
- Participate in regular meetings and discussions to enhance sales strategies and client offerings
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated B2B sales experience in FX and payment solutions with proven track record in FX sales, account management, or a related financial sales role.
- Candidate must have deep understanding of consultative sales principles, be adept at executive corporate level negotiations, and building long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, and especially the Foreign Exchange market with a focus on Africa is required.
- Knowledge of business needs and concerns and must be able to demonstrate success in new business sales in a dynamic environment consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with deliverable FX market regulations and compliance (preferred).
- Knowledge of the foreign exchange markets and trading platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and networking abilities.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent client acquisition skills as well as experience building relationships with people of varying levels of seniority in the banking and non-banking financial services industry.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as part of a team.
- Demonstrable experience of working towards targets in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency in time and task management with a focus on sales campaign effectiveness
- Proficient in relevant software and tools for tracking and reporting.
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
- A can-do, enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
- IT literate; proficient in CRM, EXCEL and Word.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, confident with high integrity and tenacity to bring value to a tight knit team.
